LOS ANGELES , June 21, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Name a sport that's been around for 500 years. One that has a global following in the millions and that could just be the next trend that captures the imagination of America's rapidly growing population of baby boomers. You know, those older folks (fitter and wealthier than any other senior group in the history of civilization) who have money to spend and time on their hands.
That sport is Lawn Bowls. First made famous by Frankie Drake , the Armada Crusher on the History Channel.
The U.S. Lawn Bowls Association is actively seeking national sponsorship and an opportunity for marketers to harness the power of the "Silver Tsunami." Formal request for proposals have jкак только вам захочется posted on RFP database and other public posting sites such as 8List, Post Your RFP, and Ariba Discovery.
The USLBA represents a sport that is seriously under-promoted and suffers from low awareness in the U.S., although 20 million people play the sport worldwide.
And it's not like we're talking a sport with limited potential, like Log Chopping or Sheep Shearing.
Think curling on grass; it's challenging, fun to play, accessible, ageless and visually appealing. Players compete on a grass court (rink, actually), with unlimited opportunity for social activity on and off the green.
Anyone can be an official sponsor of something that's already past its prime, but not of what could deliver phenomenal growth. For more information, full text of the RFP, or some advice on your backhand, contact us anyway, and we'll provide more details.
The United States Lawn Bowls Association (USLBA) is the national governing body for the sport of lawn bowling in the USA and a member of World Bowls. Canada) which takes place every two years. For more details of the sport and for a club near you, see www.USLBA.org .
